Metallica is Headlining Its Own Festival in New Jersey

Metallica have announced, and will be headlining, the two night Orion Music and More festival.

The Orion Music and More Festival will happen on June 23rd and 24th in Atlantic City, New Jersey.The band will be celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Black Album on one night of the festival by playing it in its entirety, for the first time ever in America.

Metallica will also be performing Ride the Lightning for the first time ever on the other night of the festival. Metallica has collected over twenty two musical and comedy artists to perform at the Orion festival, including Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Best Coast, Avenged Sevenfold and The Sword.

If you’re a Met Club member you can get your tickets on a pre-sale February 8th through the 10th. Two-day passes are $125 for Met club members, $150 for early birds and $175 for advanced sales. There are also VIP packages as well.

Tickets will go on sale to the pubic on February 11th. The Orion Music and More Festival will be the only performances of the Black Album and Ride the Lightning in North America in 2012.
