Late Show with David Letterman Marquee

Late-Nite Music Roundup 1/30 – 2/3

written by: on February 6, 2012

Late-night brought a horrific and dreamy week of music, boasting many Starrs (you’ll see what we did there).

Carson Brings the Horrors… Literally.

English rockers The Horrors gave a fantastic performance from LA’s El Ray Theatre, playing two tracks off its third studio album, Skying, which released last summer. Check out “I Can See Through You” below, and look for The Horrors U.S. tour come April.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. Rock Conan – Not the NASCAR Driver!

Dale Earndardt Jr. Jr., an indie pop band hailing from Detroit, stopped by Stage 15 to deliver “Simple Girl,” a song off its debut album It’s a Corporate World. A few months after the album dropped in June the duo were kind enough to sit down with us for an exclusive interview.

Ringo Starr and Coco “Act Naturally”

Ringo Starr dropped by Conan to perform a rendition of Buck Owens’ country classic “Act Naturally.” The Beatles former drummer had some kind words for the tall, pasty host’s guitar skills. Check out the web exclusive below.

M83 and Zola Jesus on Carson

Critically acclaimed electropop icon M83 was joined by Zola Jesus on Last Call with Carson Daly. The musicians  performed “Intro,” the opening track off Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. This sixth studio album by M83 earned No .2 on our “50 Favorite Albums of 2011.” Zola Davis released her album Conatus this past September.
