Total Slacker pose for press photo.

Total Slacker Have a “Secret VHS Collection”

written by: on November 7, 2011

Brooklyn’s garage-pop trio Total Slacker have a video for “Secret VHS Collection” off of the band’s debut Thrashin, which was released on September 26,2011 overseas.

Thrashin’ will see its US debut in January 2012.

The following video features some seedy trolling of the Craigslist casual encounters section leading to a very promiscuous end.

The band plays their own part in fragmented interludes and while performing in front of a crowd. The New Yorker described the band as being a part of the “shitgaze” movement, which the band wears with pride. In simpler terms, it’s lo-fi guitar driven pop mixing modern musings and sludge-like production.

For the New Yorkers in the house, Total Slacker will be playing three upcoming shows in New York. Those shows are November 09,2011 at Glasslands, November 10 at 285 Kent and November 29 at Shea Stadium.
