Last Week’s Best Late-Night Music

written by: on January 30, 2012

In what could have been a dull week of late-night re-runs, Conan and Kimmel swooped in to save the… er, night, by bringing out the giants (pun!).

They Might be Giants Celebrate 30th Anniversary on Conan

Brooklyn-bred They Might be Giants formed 30 years ago in 1982. To honor this milestone the band put on a web-exclusive show for Conan, performing “Ana Ng,” its classic hit from 1988.

Young the Giant Play Kimmel

Though its self-titled debut album dropped two years ago, indie rock band Young the Giant still gets around. The group stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to give us a live performance of “Apartment.”

Wilco on Conan

Chicago rockers Wilco played the titular track off its latest album The Whole Love. Be sure to check out the band’s new iTunes exclusive – cleverly titled iTunes Session – recorded right here in the Windy City.
