The Black Keys sure love their viral marketing. Picking up where they left off, the band has unveiled a weird video that’s also your first chance to listen to the new single “Lonely Boy.”
The Black Keys announced El Camino via a used car advertisement and video featuring Bob Odenkirk. El Camino was produced by The Black Keys and Danger Mouse and will be released on December 6, 2011. Danger Mouse has previously produced 2008’s Attack & Release and “Tighten Up,” which was the first single off of 2010’s Brothers.
“Lonely Boy” is the first single from the album and fans who had pre-ordered the album had the album digitally delivered into their inbox today, October 26, 2011. “Lonely Boy” will be released as a special 12″ single along with “Run Right Back” on November 6 as part of Record Store Day’s “Back to Black” event.
The video features one man dancing along to “Lonely Boy” which is the clear star of the show. Check it out below.
