Remember when the iPad came out and the big news about it was how lame the name was? I think people have gotten beyond that now. With Gorillaz releasing an album that Damon Albarn recorded solely on an iPad, with Moog developing its own app, and with so many artists willing to embrace anything new and weird, it is safe to say the device has become legitimized.
Always quick to jump on something weird and technologically cool, Björk recently teamed up with Solar System, a spacey interactive book for the iPad. According to the developers, “this haunting and majestic track has been specially adapted by Björk from her forthcoming Biophilia project and for the moment is available only in Solar System for iPad.”
New Björk tracks are enough reason to celebrate. No news yet on when Biophilia itself will be released, but for now check out the video below.
