More than 10 weeks early, the debut record from J. Tillman’s Father John Misty project has made its way onto Grooveshark. Tillman made a post linking to the Fear Fun tracks on Friday but has since taken down the post. We’re guessing that Sub Pop doesn’t quite approve of the album being available on the streaming service so far in advance. It’s this sort of thing that’s getting one of our favorite music services shut down by the majors.
That said, you should definitely give the album a spin if only to reinforce your decision to purchase it when it’s officially released on May 01, 2012. We previously posted the “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings” track in our mp3 section and were shocked to see the full album available so quickly. The album art is easy to get lost in. If you can point us towards its creator, we’d appreciate it.
*The fine folks over at Bella Union (one of our favorite labels) politely asked that we take down this stream due to its early leak. With any luck, they’ll give us access once the album is ready for release.
