Of Monsters and Men Go Into The Woods With a New EP

written by: on December 9, 2011

Iceland’s own Of Monsters and Men is making waves and set to release its Into the Woods EP on December 20, 2011.

The album will feature four new songs from the band. Expect the band’s debut to be re-released here in the U.S. next spring.

Of Monsters and Men is a six-piece act featuring co-singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, piano/accordion player Árni Guðjónsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. The band will play SXSW in March and plan to tour North America in 2012.

It’s already been a busy year for Of Monsters and Men. Having made a splash at the Iceland Airwaves festival, the band was part of Paste’s “The 20 Best New Bands of 2011,” coming in at number 12.
