Starting on Sunday local dance-rockers/artist collaborative Promise You Family will be offering its first official release for free until March 18.
The album, PYF: A Collection, dropped on February 18 and has since been available to stream for free. Listeners will finally be able to download the album on Sunday, but after the first week the band will be asking for a $2 donation.
The Hammond, Ind. based quintet started out as a one-man photography company in 2002 and has since grown into a gathering of multi-instrumentalists, who also moonlight as producers, photographers and graphic designers.
“It’s kind of turned into a support system of artists,” said David Lubarski, founder of PYF. “Each person has their own side projects, but we all bring our own songs to the group when they’re ready and we go from there.”
The group consists of Mallory Thomas, Jeff Brink and Zack Blink, who also perform as 19earlies, Aaron Osborn, a DJ who performs as Philos Cult, and David Black, a singer/songwriter who performs under the name Anchors.
Lubarski told Pop ‘stache the band has some upcoming shows in the works, but nothing official yet. We’ll keep you posted. Until then, check out Promise You Family’s music below.
