Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming is the amazing new record by M83. It’s huge, cinematic, retro-but-not-in-a-kitschy-way, and expertly written and executed. So, of course Victoria’s Secret tapped into that synthy well to use “Midnight City” as the music for their newest commercial. Some hipster ad exec probably just slipped this in, and his boss had heard just enough good things about the Drive soundtrack to go along with it.
