Beirut were on Fallon

written by: on October 25, 2011

It’s so great to see Zach Condon looking like he is having a blast. Too often when someone gets pinned as a “wunderkind” early on it makes them want to come off as overly serious or take a sharp turn from what they gained notice for in the first place. But with Beirut, Condon has just kept on doing what he is doing, and doing it and doing it and doing it well.

The band of gypsies stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, brining “Santa Fe,” the upbeat track from this year’s The Rip Tide. They look like they are having a great time with it, and the energy and enthusiasm are a great match for the precise songwriting and tight performance.
