Battles have a new record coming out. It’s called Gloss Dropand comes out June 7. This video for the album track “Ice Cream” is sort of a great introduction to the band, if you haven’t familiarized yourself with them yet. It is a combination of various things that are all weird, but weird for different reasons, but also just really cool to experience together. The video shows girls licking lots of things, the band playing in front of colorful backdrops, karate, splattered colors, and the cohesiveness (such that it is) of a radical sort-of-mathy song.
