What do you really expect from Dan Deacon? I will almost be shocked if his Francis Cord Coppola score he’s creating isn’t absolutely bonkers. But here, he gives us a 17-minute weirdo short film titled Hilvarenbeek. It was made, much like his previous Ultimate Reality, in collaboration with artist Jimmy Joe Roche. I would say it’s best practice to not think too deeply into this and just let yourself fall into Dan Deacon’s universe. I bet you’ll find it’s pretty fun in there.
