If David Bowie’s voice collided with the jangling hooks of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, then stumbled into the musical numbers of The Aristocats, that amalgamation might sound like Qiet’s latest album, Pet Driftwood (Composition #8).
Described as “vaudeville pop” or “gypsy jazz,” the album runs through a dizzying amount of musical styles, but always with a theatrical flair. For the uninitiated, we suggest getting your feet wet with “The Indie Song” before diving into the rest of the album.
Pet Driftwood (Composition #8) will be released February 25.
