Pop ‘stache Presents Spookedelic: A Psychedelic Halloween

written by: on October 3, 2011

On October 27, the Summer of Love gives way to the cool crisp air of All Hallow’s Eve. Pop ‘stache answers with Spookedelic: A Psychedelic Halloween at Wicker Park’s Subterranean. Guaranteed to be Chicago’s trippiest Halloween bash, four bands will share the stage along with a ’60s style oil projection show and drink specials form Goose Island 312. Give your holiday weekend a righteous kickoff and be sure to call in sick to work on Friday, it’ll be worth it.

Secret Colours, fresh out of the studio with Brian Deck (The Moon & Antarctica), are headlining this shindig with their “beautifully retro sound and style” (thanks Deli). The recent studio sessions expanded more than just their song catalogue as they will be playing their first show with an expanded line up. But the heavy-hitting lineup doesn’t stop there. Mexican Summer’s The Vacant Lots, Hozac’s Radar Eyes, and Euclid’s Troubador Dali round out the bill.

Listen/download the exclusive Spookedelic mixtape with an exclusive new track from Secret Colours’ studio sessions.

Plan for a photobooth (that means costumes people) and cheap 312 (save the PBR for the afterparty). If you grab tickets at the pre-sale price of $8 and bring your printed stub to Secret Colours’ merch booth, you’ll get a free silk-screened poster. Dig it.
