Springsteen’s New Album Gets a Name. Finally.

written by: on January 19, 2012

The Boss is back with a new single and a name for his 17th studio album.

Due to drop on March 6th Wrecking Ball will be produced by Bruce Springsteen’s longtime collaborator Jon Landau.

“Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life. The lyrics tell a story you can’t hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on Wrecking Ball,” Landau wrote on Springsteen’s official website.

The new single, titled “We Take Care of Our Own,” will be the first of the album’s 11 unique tracks.

The album is available – in standard and deluxe editions – for preorder now through Amazon and iTunes. You can grab the single for $0.89 at eMusic.

As we reported back in November, Bruce and the boys in the E Street Band will kick off their European tour in May.
