If you were still skeptical about Cloud Nothings sophomore record Attack on Memory, perhaps a stream of the album in its entirety can allay those fears?
Cloud Nothings – Attack On Memory by Carpark Records
Attack on Memory will be released on January 24, 2012 on CarPark Records. Dylan Baldi, the man in charge of Cloud Nothings, worked with legendary producer Steve Albini on the record. Complex, who premiered the stream, called Attack on Memory “their sharpest work yet, trading in that fuzzy, suppressed production in favor of a more aggressive, crisp sound.”
Our own David B. Anthony loved the album, giving it 4 and a half ‘Staches. Anthony had this to say about Attack on Memory:
Cloud Nothings has way more up its sleeve than just upbeat indie-punk. Attack on Memory sees Baldi display influences such as The Wipers or Fugazi—acts that would never have been referenced in his earlier work—and integrate them naturally. With Attack on Memory, Cloud Nothings proves that it is becoming one of the most interesting young acts in the indie-punk world.
