Ladies and Gentlemen, The 2012 Grammy Nominees Have Been Announced

Was the recent blast of “best of” opinions by magazines, bloggers and music fans not enough for you? Well, the music industry has announced the nominees for the 2012 Grammys.

For Album of the Year, it looks like there will be no Arcade Fire moment, who won the Grammy last year. Up for the Grammy this year are Adele’s 21, Foo Fighters’ Wasting Light, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, Brun Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Rihanna’s Loud.

Kanye West led the way with seven Grammy nominations including for Best Rap Album and Song of the Year. West received Grammy nominations for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and his Watch the Throne collaboration with Jay-Z. Foo Fighters, Adele and Bruno Mars had six Grammy nominations.

Some notable Grammy nominees include Bon Iver for Best New Artist and Song of the Year, Foster the People for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Alternative Music Album and Mumford & Sons for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rock Performance.
