The world hasn’t seen much of Fiona Apple since her 2005 album Extraordinary Machine was released.
There were a few collaborations here and a charity event there, but nothing purely Apple. Rumors regarding a follow-up to Extraordinary Machine have been going on for seven years.

Apple herself said in 2011, during a performance with Jon Brion, that her songs have been finished for a year. Finally, in 2012 Fiona Apple has announced a tour. While it may only be six dates in length, the tour gives hope that 2012 may be a year filled with Fiona Apple.
The tour will follow a performance at SXSW with stops in Chicago, DC, Brooklyn, Atlantic City, New York, and Boston. Check out the dates below.
