The Cure’s New Tour, Hall of Fame Nomination

written by: on September 27, 2011

Pop-goth rocker Robert Smith updated The Cure’s website today with seven tour dates scheduled for London, Los Angeles, and New York City, where the band will play its first three albums in their entirety.

The tour is called “Reflections”, which was the name of a show they performed earlier this spring in Sydney. Smith wrote that the tour will see “an evolving line up of band members past and present playing the first three Cure albums.”

Tickets for the London show go on sale at 9am London time this Friday, September 30th with a limit of four tickets per customer. The Los Angeles and New York City shows go on sale Monday, October 31, and tickets are limited to two per person.

In other Cure news, the band was nominated for a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame today alongside Guns n’ Roses, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beastie Boys, Joan Jett and 10 other artists.

Though the English post-punk band has been together since the 1970s, The Cure made its American debut at No. 99 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in February 1986 with the single “In Between Days.”

The Cure released its 13th and latest album titled 4:13 Dream  in October 2008.
