In the heart of the “Motown of the South,” Atlanta, Ga., rests 189 acres of land known as Piedmont Park. Last September 40, 000-plus took part in the rejuvenating a festival that was once a landmark date in the city, and is well on its way to being one again.
After a seven year hiatus, Music Midtown came back with a vengeance last year with sets by Coldplay, The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Manchester Orchestra and Young the Giant. Pop ‘stache was in attendance last night as this year’s two day line-up was unveiled. The Peachtree State will welcome in the likes of the Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Florence and the Machine, Atlanta’s own T.I. and Ludacris, Civil Twilight, Girl Talk and more on September 21st and 22nd. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, the 28th so go ahead and grab yours and your spot on the lawn.
