Stepdad – “My Leather, My Fur, My Nails”
Quite Scientific are re-releasing Stepdad’s previously self-released debut EP, Ordinaire, on 9/6. The group’s single “My Leather, My Fur, My Nails” is a indie-pop explosion! Yes, that description is pretty vague, but once you hit the play button you’ll completely understand. Stepdad could easily be compared to Passion Pit, especially if the only song you’ve heard is “My Leather, My Fur, My Nails.” The group’s personality does shine through any comparisons you may hear though. One element that especially stands out are the NES like synths and blips.
The re-release of the album has been completely remastered and they’re including two previously un-released bonus tracks. Also, don’t pay too much attention to the classification “EP.” There are 10 tracks, and from where I’m from that’s an album. Enjoy!
