Blind Pilot – “Keep You Right”
Blind Pilot are currently prepping their second album, We Are The Tide, which is set to release 9/13. “Keep You Right” is the album’s first single. The song doesn’t stray too far from what you would have heard on their debut album, 3 Rounds and a Sound, but with a deeper exploration of instrumentation the group does sounds more full and refreshed. You’ll hear banjo, piano, acoustic and electric guitar, horns and of course percussion. From the videos on Blind Pilot’s website, it seems like this exploration will be a trend throughout the new album.
For those who haven’t seen Blind Pilot live, I’d strongly recommend it. They’ll be touring this fall, following their release. The group seems to get lost in the music they’re playing, leaving you to witness and connect with a sincere performance built upon a shared love for the music.
