Houndmouth – “Penitentiary”

Houndmouth is a four piece roots rock group from New Albany, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky. Its carefree sound and wholehearted approach to music will, even if for only a couple of minutes, ease your mind and take you to a place where life is a little more simple. One of Houndmouth’s most endearing characteristics is each of its member’s ability to at any time take on the role of lead singer, and maybe even more so, when combined, its fantastic male/female vocal harmonies. Comparisons can easily be made with groups like The Band and The Felice Brothers.
“Penitentiary” is Houndmouth’s debut track, which will eventually be included on the group’s forthcoming EP. As of yet, a release date has not been announced.
