Best Coast – “The Only Place”

The State of California should be paying Best Coast for songs like this. Seriously, although the duo might not ever admit this, they have some exceptional advertising skills. In Best Coast’s latest jingle (it’s a lot better than a jingle) “The Only Place,” lead singer Bethany Cosentino gives it to us straight from the shoulder. California has the ocean, the babes, the sun and the waves. “Why would you live anywhere else?” she asks. It is the only place.
Advertising skills aside, “The Only Place” is warm, sunny and will make all of us ask ourselves, “Now that winter is in the rear-view, isn’t it about time for summer?” Best Coast’s forthcoming album, also titled The Only Place, will release May 15th.
