Seeing Toro Y Moi in this stripped down setting really shows off how much a virtuoso Chaz Bundick is. It’s one thing to craft an electronic masterpiece like Underneath the Pine (one of my favorite records released this year). It’s another to be able to play those songs without the bells and whistles, with just an acoustic guitar and your voice, and still be captivating and moving. Bundick dropped by Rolling Stone and did just that. It’s a short clip, but impressive nonetheless.
