Although Passion Pit's debut record didn't grab me in the same way their surprise EP did so many summers ago, their Sophomore effort Gossamer is a much more engrossing and believable album than anything else the group has worked on. And "Constant Conversations" is proof of that, a heartfelt, gorgeous track that focuses less on over-the-top synths and noise collages and finally puts the focus squarely on lead singer Michael Angelakos.
