In the video for their newest single "Octopus," Bloc Party returns with a vengeance, visually assaulting the viewer with twitchy cuts and crazy color patterns. More important, however, is the fact that "Octopus" is a really awesome track. It's impatient but precise, and the guitar reminds me of why we all fell in love with the band to begin with. Bloc Party definitely appear to back in a big way in 2012. "Octopus" is out August 13th on a 7" backed with another new track, "Straight Thru Cru." Their new album, Four, will be out the same month on Frenchkiss.
