The Oh Hello’s – “Lay Me Down”
The Oh Hello’s, Maggie and Tyler Heath, are a very talented brother/sister folk-pop duo out of Angleton, Texas. On its self-titled debut EP both Maggie and Tyler take turns singing lead and harmony, giving each song a distinct sound and unique perspective. The duo’s song “Lay Me Down” seems to be largely influenced by Mumford & Sons, but other stated influences do include The Civil Wars, Los Campesinos!, and traditional Irish folk songs.
Starting with Maggie’s gentle vocals, the song quickly builds into something you’ll want to get up off your bar stool and stomp your feet to. Musically, the two have incredible chemistry and should be very exciting to watch rise in the music industry. For now, you can pick up the EP at The Oh Hello’s’ Bandcamp page.
