The Everywheres – “Someone Disappeared”

on April 10, 2013

Someone Disappeared

Stop me if this sounds familiar: new psych-folk band owes entire sound to ’60s era psych-folk. Without being completely reductionist about it, The Everywheres embrace the sound of “now,” aligning themselves with contemporaries like Thee Oh Sees, Foxygen, Woods . But that’s not to say they can’t stand out from a crowd. Quite the opposite in fact, as their country western demeanor and faded vocals give “Some Disappeared” a kind of macabre, haunting feel. It’s the kind of infectious music that you’ll immediately want to hit repeat on. The Everywheres’ self-titled debut is out June 25th via Father/Daughter Records, with pre-orders available now for limited edition vinyl.
