Miner – “Hey Love”

on July 18, 2012

Hey Love

The Los Angeles-based band Miner eloquently describes itself as, “lovers and friends singing west coast hymns.” This truly is a family affair. Frontman Justin Miner recruited his wife Kate, brother Jeremy and some close friends to help prepare the group’s debut EP, Hey Love, which will release this August.

The album’s title track “Hey Love” is one that asks to be heard by a few and will eventually be loved by many — similar to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ song “Home” and “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers. All three bands have found unique ways to create something magical from folk-like instrumentation, earnest lyrics and a sing-along chorus. Let this song about love fill your ears and heart, while stomping your feet to its irresistible rhythm.
