Midi Matilda – “Day Dreams”

Fans of Miike Snow, Passion Pit and M83 will have a hard time putting this track down. Midi Matilda’s “Day Dreams” is extremely catchy, combining elements from each of the three bands mentioned with its smooth falsetto chorus, piano back-beat and bouncy synths. As far as indie-pop goes, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Midi Matilda is a San Fransisco based duo who have been recording together since 2010, when they released their two-track debut single By The Firelight. Their most recent release, which “Day Dreams” is a part of, is another two-track single titled Red Light District. Both releases are available as free downloads on Midi Matilda’s Bandcamp.
