Matthew Dear – “Earthforms”

With its driving post-punk bass line and dramatic high-low harmonies, Matthew Dear’s new track “Earthforms” sounds like it could be a TV on the Radio B-side. It’s certainly not the minimal techno music Dear once used to make, but definitely an expansion of the sound on his 2010 release, Black City. If you’re into it, Dear’s fifth album, Beams, will release on August 28th. Just try to contain your excitement.
