Future Islands – “Balance”

On Tuesday (10/11), Future Islands will release their third LP, On the Water. “Balance,” one of the album’s more dance friendly tracks, has a certain feel-good quality to it. Lyrically, the song is a conversation between friends–one letting the other know things can and will change. It just takes time. It’s a message most people don’t like to hear, especially in today’s need-it-now culture, but a positive one at that.
