Frank Ocean – “Pyramids”

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourself for ten minutes of pure listening pleasure. “Pyramids” is definitely Frank Ocean‘s most ambitious and epic song to date. When you break it down, the track has two parts. Let’s call them “Cleopatra” and “Working at the Pyramid (Tonight).” As a whole, both parts of the song take the listener on a magical R&B jounrey from the club to the bedroom.
“Cleopatra” is the temptress who, because it’s Frank Ocean, ends up being tempted. “Working at the Pyramid (Tonight)” is… well just look at the album artwork. You probably shouldn’t be listening to this if you don’t understand.
Frank Ocean also announced his debut album Channel Orange, which will release July 17th.
