Demon Queen – “Rude Boy”

“Rude Boy”

“The record is really about satanic stripper shit, prisons, and the strip on 29th Street in Tucson.” That’s how Zackey Force Funk, one half of Demon Queen, describes Exorcise Tape. Teaming up with Black Moth Super Rainbow mastermind Tobacco to form Demon Queen, the duo’s debut album is shaping up to be rather intriguing. The ripping, zipping beats that Tobacco has popularized, not only in his solo work but in his other collaborations as well, help lend a bit of familiarity to “Rude Boy,” but make no mistake: Demon Queen is as strange as Zackey makes them out to be. Exorcise Tape is out July 9th on Rad Cult.
