Norwegian singer-songwriter Ane Brun’s cover of “Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels),” a song from Arcade Fire’s album Funeral, is simply beautiful. Stripping away everything except for her voice and acoustic guitar, she allows the melody and lyrics to be truly appreciated. “I’ve always seen a challenge and a fascination in peeling out a great melody of a musical arrangement,” says Brun.
“Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)” will be included as a bonus track on the iTunes deluxe version of Brun’s album It All Starts With One, which already went platinum in Norway. The album will be available to purchase on May 1st.
