Aan – “I Don’t Need Love”

For five years now, the experimental rock band Aan quietly (maybe not so quietly) perfected its sound, using Portland as its playground. Led by the fearless Bud Wilson, the group will drop its debut full-length album, Amor Ad Nauseum, this fall. “I Don’t Need Love,” the first single off the album, is a complex pysch-rock delight. Passion exudes from Wilson’s microphone, as his vocals rip through frantic drum rhythms and piercing guitars. After laying low for a while, these guys have nowhere to go but up.
